Live Earth

Live Earth presents a series of huge concerts around the globe, featuring performances by the world's top musicians and bands, aiming to raise awareness about global warming and to inspire individuals, corporations and governments to take action to solve the climate crisis. The Australia show takes place at the Aussie Stadium in Sydney and is headlined by Crowded House, Jack Johnson and Wolfmother.
Other highlights of the excellent bill include Ghostwriters, Blue King Brown, Eskimo Joe, The John Butler Trio, Missy Higgins, Paul Kelly, Sneaky Sound System and Toni Collette & the Finish.

Other concerts take place in the UK, USA, Brazil, China, South Africa and Japan, with a total live audience of more than a million people. Television, radio and internet coverage should reach more than two billion people around the globe. The event begins in Sydney and continues across all seven continents, concluding with the show in the USA.

Proceeds from the concerts will form the foundation for an international initiative to combat the climate crisis, led by the Alliance for Climate Protection, which is chaired by former US Presidential candidate Al Gore.
