Bullet trains to run between Fuzhou and Hebei from next June

The Hefei-Fuzhou high-speed railway is scheduled to open next June, which will shorten the travel time between Hefei and Fuzhou to less than 4 hours, according to multiple Fujian media outlets. After the opening of the railway line, 2 pairs of bullet trains running between Xiamen and Hefei will be added as the first pair of through-trains running between the two cities.

According to Fujian media, a total of 20 pairs of bullet trains will be added after the opening of the Hefei-Fuzhou high-speed railway: 2 pairs of Fuzhou-Beijng bullet trains, 2 pairs of Fuzhou-Wuyishan bullet trains, 3 pairs of Fuzhou-Hefei bullet trains, a pair of Fuzhou-Tianjin bullet trains, a pair of Fuzhou-Qingdao bullet trains, 2 pairs of Xiamen-Hefei bullet trains, a pair of Xiamen-Beijing bullet trains, a pair of Xiamen-Jinan bullet trains, 2 pairs of Hefei-Huangshan bullet trains, 2 pairs of Nanjing-Huangshan bullet trains, a pair of Nanjing-Wuyishan bullet trains, and 2 pairs of Xiamen-Wuyishan bullet trains.

The Hefei-Fuzhou high-speed railway will start from Hefei Station, run through Chaohu, Tongling, Wuhu, Xuancheng, Huangshan, Maoyuan, Dexing, Yushan, Shangrao, Wuyishan, Jianyang, Jian’ou, Nanping, Gutian, Minqing, etc and finally end at the Fuzhou Train Station.

According to staff of the Propaganda Department of Shanghai, the preliminary plan of the Hefei-Fuzhou high-speed railway will not be opened to the public until a month before its opening.
